Aulds Bakeries and Aulds Delicious Desserts are long-standing, family-run businesses producing high-quality bakery and dessert products from our Greenock and Inchinnan sites.
We are looking for a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer to join our team and support the continued reliability, efficiency and improvement of our production operations.
This is a hands-on role in a fast-paced food manufacturing environment. You will play a key part in maintaining, repairing and improving a wide range of equipment and systems that keep our sites running smoothly.
What Youβll Be Doing:

Carrying out planned preventative maintenance and responding quickly to machinery breakdowns.

Diagnosing and resolving electrical and mechanical faults across production equipment.
β
Supporting site uptime by developing and following effective maintenance schedules.
β
Maintaining and improving electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic and control systems.
β
Supporting the installation, commissioning and testing of new equipment.
β
Working with the wider engineering and production teams to reduce downtime and improve reliability.
β
Coordinating with external contractors where required for repairs, servicing and project work.
β
Maintaining accurate engineering records, service documentation and maintenance logs.
β
Ensuring all engineering activity is carried out safely and in line with health, safety, food safety and hygiene standards.
What Weβre Looking For:
βοΈ Degree, diploma, 18th edition or equivalent in Electrical Engineering or related discipline.
βοΈ Strong hands-on experience in electrical fault finding, repair, and maintenance.
βοΈ Confident working with PLC systems, control panels, motors, and automation equipment.
βοΈ Able to troubleshoot complex mechanical and electrical issues.
βοΈ Background in food production, manufacturing, or another fast-paced environment.
βοΈ Familiar with hydraulic, pneumatic, and compressed air systems.
βοΈ Attention to detail with excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
βοΈ A can-do attitude with a hands-on, team-focused approach.
